If you want to avoid the effects of saltwater on your Garmin, this is a great protective case that can go in the boat or kayak with you.
It's fit like a glove, the unit's strap manages to zip up inside, it seems to offer some protect, especially to the screen. Worthwhile to have in my opinion.
It is almost impossible to slide my garmin GPSMap 76CSx unit into this carring case. it needs to be significasnly upsized to be useful in this application.
After using this case for over one year now, I am very satisfied with it's performance. I fits my 76 csx unit very well and has protected it from the mountain elements I have put it through. It keeps my gps looking and working like the day I bought it.
I am disappointed in this purchase. I expected this GPS to be super at puling in and tracking satellites. I feel that this unit fell short and would recommend that you may be better off with the Garmins with the newer tracking system.
